Things to Note When Applying Microbial Fertilizer

Things to Note When Applying Microbial Fertilizer
Microbial fertilizer refers to a class of biological preparations that contain live microorganisms and can achieve specific fertilizer effects in use, which can also be called bacterial fertilizer. It can promote the conversion and recycling of materials and energy, can degrade waste, improve soil fertility and activity, improve fruit quality, and contribute to food safety and environmental protection.

Microbial fertilizers require strict soil conditions and require a process of adaptation, growth, feeding and reproduction after application, generally 15 days before they can be effective.

The appropriate time for microbial fertilizer application is early morning and evening or a rain-free cloudy day, so that the ultraviolet rays of the sun can avoid killing the microorganisms.

Microbial fertilizers should be applied under high temperature and drought conditions, and attention should be paid to the changes in temperature and humidity. Under high temperature and drought conditions, the survival and reproduction of microorganisms will be affected and they will not be able to fully play their role.

Under high temperature and drought conditions, the survival and reproduction of microorganisms will be affected and they will not be able to fully play their role.

Microbial fertilizers should not be soaked in water for a long time. The suitable soil moisture content for microbial fertilizers is 50% to 70%.

Microbial fertilizers can be applied alone or mixed with other fertilizers. However, it should be avoided to mix with unripened farm fertilizer to prevent high temperature from killing microorganisms and affecting the fertilization effect.

Microbial fertilizers should be avoided to be applied with pesticides at the same time. Chemical pesticides can inhibit the growth and reproduction of microorganisms to varying degrees, and even kill them. Microbial fertilizers should not be stored for a long time, and should be applied in time after unpacking.

Avoid blind application of microbial fertilizers. Microbial fertilizers mainly provide beneficial microbial communities, rather than providing mineral nutrients as the main source, so microbial fertilizers cannot completely replace common fertilizers.

Pay attention to the fertilization conditions of microbial fertilizers. The effectiveness of microbial fertilizers is affected by its own factors, such as the number of effective bacteria contained in the fertilizer, the size of the activity and other quality factors, but also by other external factors, such as soil moisture, organic matter, pH, etc. Therefore, microbial fertilizers from the selection to application should pay attention to the rationality.
