Straw can also be Turned into Organic Fertilizer?

Straw can also be Turned into Organic Fertilizer?
So how should straw be treated? Straw can be made into organic fertilizer.

Fertilizer Site Selection

The fertilizer application site should be located in a place with the wind facing the sun, flat terrain and close to water sources, and can be made in the open all year round.

Preparation of Fertilizer Making Materials

Take 1 ton of dry straw as an example

(1) 1000 kg of crop straw

(2) 20 kg of cake flour. Peanut cake, soybean cake, cotton seed cake, rapeseed cake, etc. do not contain cake flour, 10kg of urea can be used instead

(3) 5 kg of probiotics.

① Crop stalks (such as corn stalks) should be crushed with a grinder or cut with a hay cutter. The general length should be 1-3cm (wheat straw, rice straw, leaves, weeds, peanut seedlings, bean straw, etc. can be fermented directly, but the fermentation effect is better after crushing)

② Wet the crushed or chopped straw and permeate it with water, the water content of straw is generally around 70% ③ Mix 20kg of cake powder with 1kg of strain evenly, and scatter the mixed strain of cake powder evenly on the surface of rice straw with water by hand. Use shovel and other tools to mix and pile them into strips of 2m wide, 1.5m high and unlimited length.

Straw Decay Process

① Heating stage: from normal temperature to 50°C. Usually takes only one day

② High temperature stage: usually between 50-70℃ only 2 days

③ Cooling stage: from high temperature to below 50℃, usually about 10 days.

At this time, the straw fertilizer production process is basically complete, and the fertilizer can be used directly

(1) Straw becomes brown or dark brown. When moist, it is soft and flexible. When dry, it is very fragile and easily broken.

(2) The decayed pile collapses 1/3 or 1/2 more than the pile just placed on the ground . The surface layer should be covered with soil. Crops with long growth period apply semi-ripe fertilizer, crops such as fruits and vegetables with short growth period apply high ripe straw fertilizer, sandy land apply semi-ripe fertilizer, sticky land use high ripe fertilizer with best results (2) Straw fertilizer is rich in organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium balance, also contains a variety of trace elements. It is a general fertilizer and is suitable for all kinds of crops and soils. It has a remarkable effect on improving product quality and yield.

After the above process, our straw can be turned into an organic fertilizer that is beneficial to us, and the process of making it is not complicated, and it can solve our straw disposal problem, which is indeed a multi-benefit thing! I hope the above can be helpful to you for how to deal with straw!
