How to Test the Fertilization Efficiency of Organic Fertilizers

How to Test the Fertilization Efficiency of Organic Fertilizers
The main methods of fertility testing are: such as field test method, biological simulation method (pot method, culture test), chemical analysis method, isotope tracing technique, enzymatic diagnosis method, survey research method, etc.

I Field Test
Field tests are conducted under natural conditions, and the test conditions are closest to the requirements of agricultural production, which can reflect the actual production in a more objective manner, and the test results can directly guide production. However, the field test has more external interference factors and is not suitable for single-factor test, but can be used in conjunction with other test methods.

II Biomimetic Test
Biomimetic tests are conducted under special conditions with artificial intervention, which facilitate the regulation of water, fertilizer, air, light, heat and other factors. It is convenient to conduct single-factor condition tests while maintaining other variables unchanged, but the results obtained have certain limitations and need to be verified by further field trials.

III Chemical Analysis Method
Chemical analysis is a necessary means to study the content, morphology, dynamic changes and distribution of the main nutrients in the plant-soil-fertilizer system by means of chemical analysis, which is an effective method for fertilization research, but the workload is large and can be combined with other methods.

IV Isotope Tracing Technology
Isotope tracing technology uses radioactive and stable isotopes to conduct elemental tracing analysis and reveal the law of nutrient movement. This method can solve the problem that other experimental methods are difficult to study in depth. It has the characteristics of high sensitivity, simple method, and the most accurate positioning. However, the technique also has the shortcomings of requiring the assistance of specially trained professionals, high requirements for equipment and facilities conditions, and high costs.

V Enzymatic diagnosis method
Enzymatic diagnosis is a method to determine the nutritional status of plants by using changes in enzyme activity or content in plants. Many of the essential elements in plants are components or activators of enzymes, and when a certain element is lacking, the enzyme activity or content related to that element will change, which is the theoretical basis of the enzymatic diagnosis method. The advantages of enzymatic diagnosis method are.
1, Enzymes are the earliest reactants of elemental deficiency, which can make early diagnosis of elemental deficiency.
2, Enzyme reaction is sensitive, especially for trace elements in plants, which are difficult to be determined by conventional methods, enzymatic diagnostic method can not directly determine these trace elements.
3, The enzymatic reaction correlates well with the elemental content.
Therefore, enzymatic diagnosis is a promising diagnostic method.
The disadvantage is that it requires good measuring equipment, high level of technical personnel, and the specificity needs further verification.

VI Investigation and research method
Survey method refers to the method of collecting and analyzing detailed data on the type, area, input quantity, crop yield and quality of fertilizer application by means of field interviews and questioning surveys. The survey and analysis method can use the basic steps of sampling, mostly individual as the unit of analysis, the sample size of the survey should not be too small, otherwise the error is large.
