Which Soils are Suitable for Different Manures
Manure is rich in organic matter and various nutrients needed by crops, which has a good effect on increasing crop yield and improving soil fertility. But manure with the wrong land, not only can not play a good effect, but also counterproductive, so what manure is suitable for what kind of soil?

  Pig manure
Pig manure contains 15% organic matter, 0.5% nitrogen, 0.5~0.6% phosphorus and 0.35~0.45% potassium. The texture of pig manure is fine and the composition is complex, containing proteins, fatty species, organic acids, cellulose, hemicellulose and inorganic salts. Because it contains more nitrogen, the carbon to nitrogen ratio is small, about 14:1, and it is generally easy to be decomposed by microorganisms, releasing nutrients that can be absorbed and used by crops.
Pig manure contains the highest amount of humic substances, the largest amount of Yang free substitution, and the strongest fertilizing power, but it contains more water and less cellulolytic bacteria. Mixing a small amount of horse manure and applying it to inoculate cellulolytic bacteria can greatly increase the fertilizing effect.

  Cow manure
Cow manure contains 14.5% organic matter, 0.30~0.45% nitrogen, 0.15~0.25% phosphorus and 0.10~0.15% potassium. The organic matter and nutrient content are low among various livestock, with fine texture, more water, slow decomposition, low heat generation, and is a late-effect fertilizer.
Cow manure is a cold fertilizer because of its high water content and poor aeration, and the organic matter part is harder to decompose.

  Horse manure
Horse manure contains 21% organic matter, 0.4-0.5% nitrogen, 0.2-0.3% phosphorus, and 0.35-0.45% potassium. The composition of horse manure contains more cellulose and hemicellulose, in addition, it also contains lignin, protein, fatty species, organic acids and many kinds of inorganic salts.
The water in horse manure is easy to evaporate, and it also contains more fibrous decomposing bacteria, so it is a thermal fertilizer, and the application of horse manure can improve the nature of clay soil.

  Sheep manure
Sheep manure contains 24~27% organic matter, 0.7~0.8% nitrogen, 0.45~0.6% phosphorus and 0.4~0.5% potassium. Sheep manure contains more organic matter than other livestock manure, and the manure is fine and thickly fertilized.
Sheep manure is between horse manure and cow manure, and is also a hot fertilizer, also known as a warm fertilizer, and is effective when applied on sandy and clayey soils.

  Poultry manure
  Poultry manure contains 25.5 % organic matter, 1.63 % nitrogen, 1.54 % phosphorus, 0.85 % potassium, 11 % carbohydrates and 7 % fiber, and fresh poultry manure has a high water content.
The nitrogen in poultry manure (chicken manure, duck manure, goose manure, pigeon manure, etc.) is mainly in the form of uric acid, which cannot be directly absorbed and used by crops and is harmful to crop root growth, while fresh poultry manure is easy to attract underground pests.

Choose different manure according to different soil quality
Some greenhouse soil sandy, leakage of water leakage of fertilizer is serious, so manure should choose pure chicken manure or pure pig manure, this manure purity is higher, nutrient content is also high, because the manure quality is more viscous, good improvement of the sandy land of leakage of fertilizer and water.
Manure with high organic matter content and low mineral element content, such as horse manure, sheep manure, cow manure, or chicken manure and pig manure containing sand, rice husk and straw, should be applied to clayey soil, which can improve the physical properties of clayey soil and increase its permeability and air permeability. Such manure is also ideal for improving the soil of sheds where soil salinization and slabbing are more serious.

Note: All livestock manure must be fully rotted before use.
